Maggie McMillan, Founder of the Style Counsel
Maggie McMillan, finally succumbed to a lifelong obsession with clothes and fashion, when she trained in Paris to be an Image and Style Consultant.
Maggie works with individual clients of both sexes, within the corporate sector and outside , and with groups in both sectors. Individual clients have ranged from popstars to politicians and teenagers to grannies. The diversity of her client base is illustrated by the fact that she has recently worked with a horse whisperer and a ballerina.!!
She has runs workshops with related and likeminded professionals eg life coaches, nutritionists etc, and with professionals
with diverse, but complimentary skills eg florists, cooks and interior designers. She is currently embarking on a series of workshops for 6th Formers in schools.
In the corporate sector she works with top London Outplacement Consultants, Stork and May, and has an expanding client list in retail, catering, property and HR, to name but a few!! She is particularly skilled in working in companies where staff, at any level, have client interface.
Her ethos is very simple: viz: impressions are formed within 7-15 seconds of meeting someone, and the ensuing relationship may be highly dependent upon that impression, which is often difficult to change. This applies to all kinds of relationships, both within and outside the workplace. Secondly, if you are happy about how you look you will behave more confidently and effectively, and people will respond accordingly. Corporate workshops are for teambuilding, motivation and incentive, or even just for fun!!!
